Each student will give a 10 min slide presentation on his or her work during class

Please read “Making Slide Presentation” under Task Example. 

FYI: If you are using Power Point for your presentation, you will need to bring it on a flash drive. 
If you are using Google Slide, then make sure you can access to your link.
 


April 27th

March 30th

Class will meet in the WTFA Photo Studio to work on copying your work for slide presentations and website.  Bring everything you want to copy along with the camera you want to use, i.e. smart phone. 

Also, the second draft of your Artist Statements is due.  Please download to our google drive or email it to me before class.

Deadline: March 8th & 9th! 

Please apply for the Dept. of Art scholarships. 
Scholarship money is granted to the student to support a student's education and is awarded based on artistic achievement. It doesn’t take that long to do, and you could get money from the dept. starting this fall semester. Deadline: March 15, 2022

I will giving extra credit points for applying to either or both, please note that it isn’t mandatory.

Wednesday 26th TASK #3

We will meet in WTFA 131 to go over the steps on how to document your artwork. Please bring no more than a couple of your art pieces along with your smart phones to class. Those of you who are doing photography, please bring some of your files so I may work with you on some editing techniques. 

This is kind of a small space, so masks are highly recommended.

Wednesday Jan 19th TASK #2

Please bring examples of your work to show during class. You can do your presentation any way you choose, either by bringing actual pieces or digital copies. Whatever is the best way for you to present your work to me and the group. Each student will have 10-15 minutes for their presentation. 

 Please note the grading scale under the WEEKLY TASK column. I will be going over this in more detail during class.

Welcome to Practicum in Art

This site is for students enrolled in ART 403 (W 6;00p -8:50p) during the Spring Semester of 2022.  Students should check this blog every day during the semester for updates on assignments, etc.  

This is the main way I will be communicating with you, along with emails and D2L.  

Attendance on the first day of class!


On Wednesday, January 12, 2022 @ 6pm will be our first class meeting.  Please meet me in room ART 206 in the Art building, second floor.  You don't want to miss the first day of class. There is a lot of material to cover, first assignment will be given,  so please be on time, prepared to take notes and to stay awhile. 


Not attending that first day could count against your attendance grade.
